MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
To integrate environmental sustainability factors into the company's strategy and operations which includes suggesting communicating and monitoring the company’s sustainability targets and objectives and initiatives, and reporting on the company's sustainability performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide the necessary support to ensure the airline's compliance with relevant aviation environment regulations which involves staying updated on evolving regulations and working with different departments to ensure compliance.
- Propose and implement Aviation sustainability policies and procedures through work and engaging with other different departments and functions that promote sustainability practices.
- Prepares Aviation sustainability reports. This includes collecting data on the company's sustainability performance, preparing sustainability data reports, and communicating the company's sustainability performance internally.
- Conducts research to identify best practices and benchmarks in the airline industry and other sectors regarding Aviation sustainability which assists the company set meaningful targets and goals.
- Identifies sustainability risks which includes assessing the company's exposure to environmental, social, and governance risks, and proposing strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Supports the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives within the airline which may include projects related to fuel efficiency, waste reduction, renewable energy adoption, and eco-friendly practices.
- Engages with stakeholders on sustainability issues. This may include meeting with customers, employees, and community members to discuss the company's environmental sustainability performance and priorities.
- Contributes to employee training and awareness programs related to sustainability topics.
- Implements Aviation sustainability / Aviation Environment roadmaps/ awareness sessions and events.
- Continuously monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of Aviation sustainability initiatives and suggests improvements based on performance analysis and feedback.
- Promote aviation sustainability practices within the company and externally, including developing presentations, support in delivering training and writing aviation sustainability performance reports.

- Participates in national and international environment committees, working groups Adhoc Groups in (ICAO – IATA – AACO… etc.) to serve flydubai interest.

ISR REQUIREMENTS
Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
