Marine Technician

Overview of the role:

The primary focus of the role will be to carry out dealership service on customer vehicles as per company standards and ensure optimum quality with increased productivity and technical efficiency, thereby individually contributing to generate workshop revenue.

 

What you will do:  

•   Day to day Service & Maintenance activities of Marine engines inside the branch workshop and the field

•   Correctly diagnose and repair faults

•   Prepare quotations as accurate as possible at the time of estimation

•  Write Clear Field Service Reports after completion of each job and obtain customer approval/payment 

•   Responsible for the highest levels of work quality and customer satisfaction

•   Ability to conduct duties in a workshop environment or independently travel to worksites in various locations

•   Work closely with the Aftersales Supervisor/Team Leader to ensure that jobs are completed within stipulated manufacturers or local standard times

•   Timely and accurate machine fault diagnosis and high level of ‘first-time fix'

•   Should be able to understand and interpret maintenance and repair manuals, schematic drawings, electrical circuits etc..

•   Recommend preventive maintenance and repair solutions to reduce risk of breakdown

•   Aware of the hazards and the risks associated with their work activities

•   Use and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment supplied 

•   Ensure quality of job to avoid errors/rework and take actions to resolve customer concerns to improve customer engagement.

•   Comply with company Quality, Health, Safety & Environment guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures and report all incidents to the supervisor 

•   Participate in Toolbox Talk meetings and undertake safety awareness trainings as provided by the company

About the team:

In this role, you will be working in a fast paced and dynamic environment reporting directly to the Workshop Supervisor.

 

What equips you for the role:

•   Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with Marine products

•   Willingness to commute and work in different sites/locations as per business requirement

•   Technically competent, with ability to diagnose and repair products within a set timeframe

•   Must have ITI Diploma and NCVT

•   Valid UAE Driving License is a must

•   Must be able to communicate in both written and spoken English
