Microless’s UAE team is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented category manager. The category manager will screen the market to onboard new sellers, work with existing vendors and sellers to increase their sales, and find new popular products to be sold on the platform. Within this role, the individual will have the opportunity to establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships, prepare purchase lists, negotiate prices, and more. You will work with vendors of all sizes and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Microless at all levels of these organizations. Experience in business analytics and operations are required. Basic Qualifications • Superior analytical abilities and quantitative skills. Comfortable with complex financial data • Polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating • High threshold for working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment start-up like environment – figuring it out and adapting as you go • Willingness to roll up sleeves to get it done • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development • Comfortable with “hands-on” management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously • Research and analyze data and market insights • Search for insights into consumer needs and wants • Plan and implement long-term development strategies for product categories • Design exit strategies for unsuccessful products • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors • Proficient in Excel • Strategize positioning of a product category in order to maximize its visibility • Collaborate with the marketing team • Research competitors and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities • Work with customers and merchandisers and find new ways of expanding product categories • Calculate forecasts for product demand trends Extensive knowledge in networking and servers is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
