Position : Senior technician

Job Purpose

To implement Hydraulic maintenance activities in order ensure that technical operations are carried out efficiently and effectively and uninterrupted production is maintained. To assist overall shift operation and co-ordination with operation team whenever required. To carry out both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, installing, maintaining, adjusting, calibrating and/or testing plant and equipment to ensure it is functioning in compliance with operating standards and available to meet production requirements.

Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

Technical Diploma or Trade test certification from a recognized professional body.

Minimum Experience:

4-5 years relevant work experience in maintenance and overhaul of Hydraulic Equipment.

Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):

Knowledge and understanding of Hydraulic system, equipment and process in steel plants.

Must be able to understand the Hydraulic circuit drawing and understand each symbol.

Knowledge of operating and safety procedures and standards.

Ability to work in a team environment and sometimes independently with minimal supervision as the task may be from time to time.

Relationship building skills.

Problem solving & troubleshooting skills.

Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power point).

Technical report writing skill.

Ability to work as part of a team.

English language skills – written and spoken, and Arabic Language (preferred).
