Finance Manager

About the role: As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, financial planning, and analysis. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive financial strategy and decision-making. This role is ideal for someone with a background in retail, food & beverage (bars), or education industries, and a proven ability to manage financial processes in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as variance analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, and provide insights for operational improvements.
  • Develop and implement financial controls to safeguard the company’s assets and financial information.
  • Collaborate with department heads to set financial goals and optimize resource allocation.
  • Provide financial recommendations and insights to senior management for decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of finance professionals.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the retail furniture, food & beverage (bars), or education industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel (experience with ERP systems is a plus).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
