Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Draftsman to join our concrete company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings and designs for concrete construction projects, including foundations, structural elements, and pre-cast panels. The Draftsman will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications, local regulations, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

•             Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for concrete structures, including foundations, slabs, columns, beams, and pre-cast panels, using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

•             Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project specifications.

•             Review and interpret architectural and structural plans, and convert them into detailed concrete design drawings.

•             Prepare shop drawings, layout plans, and detailed material take-offs for concrete elements.

•             Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, safety standards, and regulations.

•             Assist in preparing formwork and reinforcement details for concrete elements, ensuring all structural requirements are met.

•             Collaborate with site teams to resolve design issues and adjust drawings as needed during the construction phase.

•             Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to clarify design details and provide additional information as necessary.

•             Maintain accurate and organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.

•             Provide input for project estimation and assist in calculating material requirements.

•             Assist in the preparation of project proposals by providing preliminary drawings and designs.

Skills

Requirements:

•             Proven experience as a Draftsman, with a focus on concrete construction or structural design.

•             Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software).

•             Knowledge of concrete construction processes, materials, and reinforcement detailing.

•             Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards for concrete construction.

•             Strong attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and quality of technical drawings.

•             Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil engineering drawings.

•             Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers, project managers, and contractors.

•             Technical degree or diploma in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

•             Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

•             Experience in designing formwork and reinforcement for concrete structures.

•             Knowledge of precast concrete and other specialized concrete construction methods.

•             Familiarity with construction site practices and ability to interpret field conditions.
