Overview Of The Role:
The Financial Reporting Manager acts as the lead for preparation of financial statements and coordination of external audits for assigned entities and territories. The role is integral in maintaining a strong accounting and operational control environment, improving accounting processes, and managing business risks through financial compliance. The manager must communicate financial concepts in a clear and persuasive manner to influence desired behaviors within the organization.
What You Will Do:
Finance Reporting and Controlling
- Support the creation and ensure compliance with operational accounting policies.
- Perform effective training and management on the accounting procedures.
- Maintain the chart of accounts and effectively communicate any changes or new accounts.
- Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements.
- Support the preparation and conduct workshops for IFRS standards.
- Prepare all documentation required for the sign-off of the financial statements.
- Perform opening retained earnings reconciliation between financial statements and SAP and other ERPs.
External Audit
- Coordinate with external auditors on audit requests.
- Cross-functional coordination with different Business Units, Divisions, and Tower Heads for variance analytics and business updates.
- Prepare technical memos on IFRS for significant transactions and accounting matters.
- Support impairment workings activities during HY and YE audits.
- Consolidate, review, and validate audit adjustments ensuring correct posting in SAP and BPC.
Tax
- Support the Tax tower in responding to financial statements related queries.
- Help prepare CIT tax filings.
- Ensure timely completion of financial statements to avoid late tax filings.
- Coordinate with the Tax tower to resolve tax-related queries from external auditors.
Document Retention
- Ensure document retention compliance in all geographies.
Automation
- Support the streamlining of financial statements preparation automation project.
- Liaise with external consultants.
Other Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with relevant managers and stakeholders for collaboration on critical topics.
- Contribute to the improvement of solutions and business processes.
- Maintain and upgrade professional knowledge, management skills, and domain expertise.
- Contribute to business excellence initiatives.
- Gather peer appreciation and feedback.
- Maintain rapport with the business.
Skills
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Strong technical account knowledge and audit experience.
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Solid analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- College or University degree in Finance, Business, or related majors.
- Qualified Accountant certification is required.
- 5 - 6 years of audit experience, preferably from a Big Four firm.
- 2 years of industry experience is preferable.
- Knowledge of SAP BPC or SAP Business Warehouse is highly regarded.
- Extensive use of Excel and a deep understanding of IFRS.
