Role Overview
The Procurement Executive will be responsible for sourcing high-quality products, materials, and services at the most competitive prices across local and international markets. This role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills to identify cost-effective suppliers, evaluate multi-country sourcing opportunities, and calculate accurate landing costs for procurement items related to real estate and infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate should be resourceful, data-driven, and efficient in handling vendor relations, logistics coordination, and procurement documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Source vendors all the requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and reliability.
- Maintain a performance dashboard to track vendor SLAs and cost efficiency.
- Build and maintain an updated supplier database.
2. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track purchase timelines, delivery delays, and vendor responsiveness.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on procurement performance metrics (cost savings, lead times, etc.).
- Recommend vendor improvements or replacements based on performance.
3. Price Analysis & Negotiation
- Conduct market research to identify competitive pricing.
- Negotiate terms, payment cycles, and discounts.
- Maintain a cost tracker for frequently purchased materials and supplies.
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all purchase orders, quotations, and invoices are properly documented.
- Coordinate with finance for payment processing and budget alignment.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with real estate, operations, and admin teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines.
- Support procurement for office operations (utilities, maintenance, supplies).
Skills
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or vendor management (UAE or international sourcing preferred).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement tools (ERP systems preferred).
- Good understanding of import/export processes, Incoterms, and shipping documentation.
- Attention to detail and the ability to calculate accurate landing costs.
