Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Data Analytics Intern at MTEAnalytics. The intern will assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing datasets from various sources to support business analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include running basic statistical analyses, building reports and dashboards, and supporting senior analysts with data-driven projects. The intern will help translate analytical findings into clear summaries, visuals, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves documenting methods, maintaining data quality standards, and participating in virtual team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Qualifications
Strong foundational Analytical Skills, including problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Interest or coursework in Business Analytics, with the ability to connect data insights to business questions and decisions. Hands-on exposure or academic experience in Data Analytics, including working with datasets, metrics, and basic visualization. Understanding of Analytics concepts and workflows, such as data pipelines, reporting, and performance tracking. Basic knowledge of Statistics, including descriptive statistics, distributions, and hypothesis testing. Familiarity with tools such as Excel/Google Sheets and at least one analytics or programming tool (e.g., SQL, Python, R, or a BI platform) is preferred. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data findings in simple, non-technical language. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with a distributed team.
