Description

In this role, you will provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for children and adolescents aged 2 to 18 years within a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy centre. You will support children in improving functional independence, sensory regulation, fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, self-care skills, school readiness, play skills, and daily living participation.

You will work closely with families and the wider clinical team to deliver practical, evidence-based therapy plans that support each child's developmental progress.


  • Role & Responsibilities
  • Assess children's occupational therapy needs through observation, standardized tools, clinical judgment, and parent consultation
  • Develop individualized therapy plans based on each child's developmental, functional, sensory, and family needs
  • Provide therapy sessions focused on sensory processing, fine motor development, gross motor coordination, handwriting, self-care, play, attention, regulation, and independence
  • Support children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, sensory needs, ADHD, motor planning difficulties, and related pediatric conditions
  • Guide parents with practical home strategies to support progress outside the clinic
  • Collaborate with psychologists, speech therapists, behavioral therapists, physiotherapists, educators, and other team members
  • Prepare clear session notes, progress reports, treatment plans, and clinical documentation
  • Monitor child progress and adjust therapy goals based on outcomes
  • Support school readiness, classroom participation, and functional skills where required
  • Communicate professionally with parents regarding goals, progress, concerns, and next steps
  • Maintain safe, ethical, and child-friendly therapy practices in line with clinical standards
  • Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and multidisciplinary care planning

Who you are

We are seeking a patient, child-focused Occupational Therapist to support children with developmental, sensory, motor, behavioral, and daily living challenges. The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based, individualized therapy, build strong relationships with children and families, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team.


Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing goal-based treatment plans, monitoring progress, maintaining clinical documentation, and providing parent guidance.


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university

• Active DHA Occupational Therapist license

• Minimum 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience

• Strong pediatric OT assessment and intervention skills

• Experience with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, sensory processing, and motor coordination challenges

• Strong communication, documentation, and caseload management skills

• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage


Master’s degree, pediatric experience, and additional training in sensory integration, autism, feeding therapy, fine motor skills, handwriting, or school readiness are advantageous.
