Role Description This is a part-time hybrid role for a Power Generation Manager at Owais Capital | أويس المالية, based in Dubai with flexibility to work from home for part of the week. The Power Generation Manager will oversee daily operations of power generation assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance. Responsibilities include monitoring plant performance, coordinating maintenance schedules, and implementing operational best practices. The role involves managing vendor and contractor relationships, supporting feasibility assessments for new power projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards. The Power Generation Manager will prepare operational reports, support budgeting and cost optimization, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to align power generation activities with broader business objectives.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in power generation operations, including working knowledge of power plants and associated systems. Proven supervisory skills and team leadership experience in technical or industrial environments. Demonstrated project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and monitoring of power-related projects. Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to meet performance, safety, and compliance targets. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering, or a related technical field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, power systems) are an advantage. Familiarity with industry standards, HSE regulations, and reliability-centered maintenance practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and performance indicators. Effective communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an asset. Comfort working in a hybrid model, balancing on-site presence in Dubai with remote collaboration tools.
