Role Description The Writer will create compelling written content to support Casting Wire’s work across films, web series, TVCs, and print campaigns in the Pune Division. This full-time, on-site role involves drafting scripts, dialogue, synopses, and character descriptions, as well as writing briefs, pitch documents, and promotional copy for projects and talent. The Writer will collaborate closely with casting directors, producers, and creative teams to understand project requirements and adapt tone, style, and format accordingly. Daily responsibilities include researching concepts and audiences, brainstorming ideas, revising content based on feedback, and ensuring all deliverables are accurate, on-brand, and delivered on schedule. The Writer may also assist with social media captions, website text, and marketing materials that highlight ongoing and upcoming casting opportunities.
Qualifications
Strong storytelling abilities with experience in scriptwriting, dialogue writing, and narrative development for visual media (films, web series, or advertising). Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content for multiple formats such as synopses, character bios, pitches, and promotional materials. Excellent command of written English; ability to adapt tone and style for different genres and target audiences. Solid research skills to understand projects, industry trends, and audience preferences, and to support authentic and credible writing. Experience collaborating with creative and production teams, with openness to feedback and iterative revisions. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with the Indian film, OTT, and advertising ecosystem; interest or experience in casting is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Mass Communication, Film Studies, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency with standard writing and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft Office); basic knowledge of screenwriting formats is an advantage. Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division and collaborate effectively with diverse colleagues and talent.
