Jacobs is seeking an experienced Principal ICT Engineer – Design with a strong background in data center projects to be based in KSA or Dubai. You will lead the development of advanced ICT design for data center incorporating the latest technology advancement in the market. network, and low‑voltage systems for data center projects across the region and globally. You will also collaborate with global specialists, for design and deliver of a high‑performance data center infrastructure.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the ICT and low‑voltage design for data center projects across concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.
• Develop and review systems including structured cabling, network infrastructure, data center networking, security systems, BMS, AV, and ICT room layouts.
• Ensure designs comply with Uptime Institute, TIA, BICSI, ASHRAE, and local authority requirements, as well as Jacobs’ internal quality and sustainability frameworks.
• Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, architecture, fire protection, and ICT security teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Lead technical workshops, design reviews, and client presentations, representing Jacobs with authority and professionalism.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to ICT engineers, supporting capability development and knowledge sharing.
• Support tender evaluations and technical reports.
• Drive innovation, digital delivery, and continuous improvement within the ICT discipline.

• Bachelor’s/ Masters degree in ICT Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of ICT/low‑voltage design experience, including significant experience in data center projects.
• Strong understanding of data center ICT systems, network topologies, redundancy strategies, and mission‑critical design principles.
• Experience delivering projects in the KSA UAE or wider GCC region.
• Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, and ICT modeling workflows.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (TIA, BICSI, ISO/IEC, NFPA).
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing design teams or major project packages.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem‑solving skills.

• Extensive experience supporting hyperscale and colocation data center environments, with exposure to high-density, Tier III/IV infrastructure.
• Industry-recognized data center design certifications, including CDCS/CDCE, Uptime Institute ATD, and BICSI RCDD, demonstrating expertise in critical facilities design, redundancy, and standards compliance.
• Solid understanding of cloud-integrated data center architectures, supported by certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, enabling alignment with modern hybrid and hyperscale deployments.
