Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Engineer to oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the Project Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS), ensuring full compliance with ADOSH-SF, Company HSE requirements, ISO 45001:2018, UAE regulations, and project HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities:Implement and maintain the project OHSMS in line with ADOSH-SF, company, and ISO 45001. Review and approve contractors' HSE documentation, including OHSE Plans, RAMS, PTW, Emergency Response, Traffic Management, and Lifting Plans. Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance assessments across high-risk construction activities (work at height, lifting operations, scaffolding, excavation, confined spaces, hot works, electrical safety, temporary works, etc.). Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Monitor contractor HSE performance, prepare HSE reports, and lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and inductions. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities on HSE matters. Support audits, emergency drills, occupational health risk management, and continuous HSE improvement initiatives.
Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent. NEBOSH International Diploma, NVQ Level 6 (or higher), or equivalent. ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification. ADOSH-SF Practitioner Course completed. Registered as a Senior Occupational Health & Safety Practitioner (Abu Dhabi). Minimum 12 years of OHS experience, including 6+ years in the UAE (Abu Dhabi preferred). Strong experience on large-scale building/high-rise projects with engineering consultants and EPC contractors. In-depth knowledge of ADOSH-SF, ISO 45001, UAE HSE regulations, risk assessments, incident investigations, HSE audits, and construction safety. Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
