Role Description The Heavy Equipment - Lifting & Logistics Engineer – Highrise Contracting role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing lifting operations and heavy equipment logistics for high-rise construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include designing lifting plans, selecting appropriate cranes and equipment, and overseeing site logistics for material movement and storage. The engineer collaborates closely with project managers, site supervisors, and procurement teams to align lifting schedules with construction milestones and supply chain timelines. The role also involves monitoring equipment performance, managing risk assessments, preparing technical documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in lifting and logistics processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret technical data, assess risks, and optimize lifting and logistics operations. Candidates should possess Logistics Engineering and Supply Chain Management skills to plan equipment movement, material flow, and site logistics for high-rise projects. Candidates should possess Operations Management and Procurement skills to coordinate resources, manage vendors, and ensure timely availability of heavy equipment and materials. Candidates should possess knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging practices, and relevant safety standards and regulations. Candidates should possess a degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification. Candidates should possess experience in high-rise or large-scale construction projects, preferably within the GCC region. Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams. Candidates should possess proficiency in relevant engineering and planning software (e.g., CAD tools, project planning software) and a commitment to safe, compliant operations.
