Role Description: The Senior Planning Engineer – Construction is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai. This role is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules using appropriate planning tools, ensuring alignment with construction methodologies and contractual milestones. The Senior Planning Engineer prepares progress reports, forecasts, and resource allocation plans, and collaborates with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to identify risks, delays, and mitigation measures. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing project performance, supporting project control activities, coordinating with procurement and production teams, and maintaining accurate planning data and documentation. The role also contributes to improving planning processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Qualifications:Candidates should possess strong Planning and Production Planning skills for complex construction projects. Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate schedules, resources, risks, and project performance. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients. Candidates should possess solid Project Control skills, including progress tracking, reporting, and variance analysis. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PSP) is an advantage. Relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure or marine construction projects, preferably in the Middle East. Proficiency in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office tools. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract conditions, and health and safety standards.
