2. JOB PURPOSEWe are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial strategy and operations of a growing cybersecurity company. This is not a role for transferable potential: the successful candidate will already have held senior finance leadership within the cybersecurity sector and will be able to evidence it. We are looking for a proven operator with a demonstrable track record of measurable results — scaling revenue, managing burn and runway, and delivering funding outcomes — in a comparable technology environment, who can partner closely with the CEO and Board on strategic growth, fundraising, and long-term financial planning. Shortlisted candidates will be expected to substantiate every claimed achievement with specific, quantifiable outcomes from prior roles.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy in alignment with business growth objectives. Partner with the CEO and Board on strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling. Provide financial insights and scenario planning to support key business decisions (product investment, market expansion, M&A). Financial Planning & Reporting Own the full P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow management. Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting to the CEO, Board, and investors. Establish and monitor KPIs and financial metrics relevant to a Saa S/cybersecurity business model (ARR, MRR, churn, CAC, LTV, burn rate, runway). Fundraising & Investor Relations Lead fundraising efforts (equity/debt), including preparing financial materials, data rooms, and investor presentations. Manage relationships with existing and prospective investors, banks, and financial partners. Support due diligence processes for funding rounds, partnerships, or M&A activity. Governance, Compliance & Risk Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax requirements, and corporate governance standards across all operating jurisdictions. Oversee financial risk management, including cybersecurity-specific considerations (e.g., cyber-insurance, financial controls around data/IP assets). Implement and maintain strong internal controls and audit processes. Team & Operational Leadership Build, lead, and mentor the finance team as the company scales. Oversee accounting, treasury, payroll, tax, and financial operations. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering leadership on pricing strategy, revenue recognition, and cost management.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLSMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) strongly preferred. Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least 3-5 years in a CFO, VP Finance, or senior finance leadership role. Direct, hands-on senior finance leadership within the cybersecurity sector is mandatory — demonstrable, recent, and supported by verifiable references. Proven, evidenced fundraising experience (VC/PE) and/or investor relations, with specific deal outcomes the candidate can substantiate — round size, structure, valuation, and timeline. A demonstrable record of quantifiable achievements in prior senior finance roles — for example ARR/revenue grown from one level to another, gross-margin improvement, burn reduced, runway extended, or a successful audit or exit. General statements will not be accepted in place of numbers. Track Record & Evidence Required Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following with concrete evidence, not general statements:● Specific financial results delivered in previous roles, expressed in numbers — e.g. ARR/MRR growth, gross-margin improvement, burn reduction, runway extension, or cost savings realised.● At least one funding, M&A, or exit outcome the candidate personally led or co-led, with round size, structure, and timeline.● First-hand experience of the cybersecurity (or directly comparable technology) business model — its metrics, unit economics, and specific risk landscape.● Verifiable references and, where available, supporting materials or anonymised case examples for the achievements claimed.● Selection will focus on evidence of past outcomes, not hypothetical capability; candidates who cannot substantiate their track record will not be progressed. Technical & Functional Skills Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, and Saa S metrics. Experience with financial systems/ERP platforms and reporting tools. Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional tax, compliance, and regulatory requirements. First-hand understanding of the cybersecurity industry's business model, risk landscape, and investor expectations — required, not a plus.
