It owns roasting facilities in Abu Dhabi and more than 30 outlets under the “Maison Samira Maatouk” and “Samira Maatouk Originale” brands, offering personalized coffee blends and gourmet food. The product portfolio spans Arabic, Turkish, espresso, and filter coffees, and the Group is the UAE distributor for Fakir coffee machines. The Group is led by owner and Chairperson Samira Maatouk, who is actively involved in overseeing its strategic and operational activities. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cost Controller role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Cost Controller will monitor and analyze cost structures across production, distribution, and retail outlets, ensuring accurate cost allocation and supporting pricing decisions. Daily responsibilities include preparing cost reports, tracking variances, reviewing budgets, and collaborating with finance, operations, and procurement to maintain cost efficiency. The role involves validating supplier invoices, overseeing inventory costing, assisting with financial forecasts, and implementing cost-control procedures and internal controls. The Cost Controller will also support management with data-driven insights, participate in audits, and recommend improvements to enhance profitability and operational performance. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong cost accounting and financial analysis skills, including experience with budgeting, variance analysis, and cost allocation. Candidates should possess proficiency in ERP or accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build and maintain cost models and reports. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of inventory management and production costing, preferably within FMCG, food, or hospitality sectors. Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret numerical data for decision-making. Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with finance, operations, and procurement teams. Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) are an advantage. Previous experience as a Cost Controller, Management Accountant, or similar role, ideally within a multi-outlet or manufacturing environment. Ability to work on-site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, manage deadlines, and maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality.
