Plan daily production targets based on the master production schedule.
Allocate manpower effectively to achieve daily and weekly production objectives.
Monitor work progress and ensure painting activities are completed within planned timelines.
Coordinate with the Production Planning team to prioritize urgent and critical project requirements.
Ensure finished products are delivered to the assembly or dispatch areas on schedule.
Supervise sanding, filling, putty application, edge preparation, and surface cleaning prior to painting.
Ensure surfaces are properly prepared before primer and finish coat applications.
Verify that all defects are rectified before moving items to the next finishing stage.
Ensure correct sanding sequences are followed between coating applications.
Supervise the application of primer, sealer, base coats, top coats, stains, clear coats, PU, polyester, acrylic, NC, and water-based finishes.
Ensure paint systems are applied according to approved specifications and manufacturers’ recommendations.
Monitor paint thickness, coverage, drying times, and curing processes.
Ensure consistency in color, sheen level, texture, and finish quality across production batches.
Coordinate color matching and sample approvals before mass production.
Inspect painted products for defects such as scratches, orange peel, pinholes, runs, sagging, bubbles, dust contamination, color variation, and gloss inconsistency.
Ensure all products meet approved samples, client expectations, and company quality standards.
Coordinate with the QA/QC team to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
Minimize rework by maintaining strict quality controls throughout the finishing process.
Monitor paint, thinner, hardener, catalyst, stain, lacquer, masking materials, abrasives, and consumable usage.
Ensure proper storage and handling of paints and hazardous materials.
Ensure spray guns, pumps, pressure pots, compressors, spray booths, and dust extraction systems are maintained in good working condition.
Report equipment breakdowns promptly and follow up on repairs.
Train employees on finishing techniques, equipment operation, safety practices, and quality requirements.
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and paint shop safety procedures.
