Job description
The Field Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting Saudi Aramco Upstream Drilling & Workover Operations by ensuring full compliance with Saudi Aramco HSE requirements, drilling standards, and regulatory obligations.
The role serves as the field HSE focal point for assigned rigs, promoting safe drilling operations through audits, inspections, incident investigations, risk management, and continuous improvement of safety performance.
Act as the Field HSE Advisor for assigned drilling and workover rigs, ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco HSE Management System (SMS), General Instructions (GIs), and Upstream Drilling standards.
Conduct routine HSE audits, field inspections, and compliance assessments, issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and tracking corrective actions to closure.
Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
Support pre-commencement inspections for new drilling rigs and prepare rigs for Saudi Aramco RHSEI, Well Control, Loss Prevention Department (LPD), Corporate, and Environmental Protection Department (EPD) audits.
Facilitate hazard identification, risk assessments, emergency preparedness, contractor HSE compliance, and environmental protection initiatives.
Mentor rig foremen, supervisors, and Safety Officers to strengthen HSE leadership and improve field safety performance.
Conduct behavioral safety observations, participate in rig safety meetings, and promote a proactive safety culture across drilling operations.
Prepare HSE reports, compliance documentation, and performance metrics as required by Saudi Aramco management.
Qualifications & Experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent internationally recognized HSE certification.
Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 7 years supporting Saudi Aramco or major upstream drilling/workover operations.
Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco Safety Management System (SMS), drilling HSE requirements, incident investigation, risk assessment, emergency response, and audit processes.
Demonstrated experience supporting Saudi Aramco drilling compliance audits, field inspections, and HSE performance improvement programs.
Excellent communication, leadership, report writing, and stakeholder coordination skills.
