Roles & Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
Project Structuring: Configure WBS, Network/Sub-networks, Milestones, and standard project templates tailored to construction lifecycles. [1, 2]
Budgeting & Cost Control: Set up project budgets, releases, and cost planning while ensuring accurate CAPEX/OPEX tracking and settlements. [1, 2]
Resource & Material Planning: Manage capacity, project-specific procurement, and resource allocation using SAP PS integration with Material Management (MM). [1, 2, 3, 4]
Cross-Module Integration: Align PS with FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling - specifically Results Analysis and Profitability Analysis), and SD (Sales and Distribution) for accurate project billing and revenue recognition. [1, 2]
Progress Tracking: Implement Progress Analysis (EVM - Earned Value Management) and Results Analysis to monitor project health. [1]
Key Requirements
Domain Experience: Strong understanding of the Construction or EPC industry, specifically regarding heavy infrastructure, commercial, or oil & gas projects. [1, 2]
Implementation Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 full-lifecycle end-to-end SAP PS implementations, frequently requiring SAP S/4HANA exposure. [1, 2, 3]
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. [1, 2]
Certifications: SAP Project System (PS) certification is highly desired.
