Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Legal Specialist role based in India. The Legal Specialist will review, draft, and manage a wide range of legal documents and contracts related to manufacturing, distribution, and commercial operations. This role involves advising internal stakeholders on legal issues, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions. The Legal Specialist will support negotiations with partners and suppliers, coordinate with external counsel when required, and maintain organized legal records and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities also include monitoring regulatory changes, contributing to policy development, and providing clear legal guidance to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications Strong foundation in Law with the ability to interpret and apply relevant statutes and regulations. Experience in Legal Consulting, providing practical advice to business stakeholders and supporting decision-making. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, agreements, and policies. Ability to identify, analyze, and manage Legal Issues related to commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters. Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly and collaborate with diverse teams. Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); advanced legal qualifications or bar admission are an advantage. Prior experience in corporate or commercial law, preferably within manufacturing, distribution, or logistics sectors. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously. Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant to ZAFCO’s markets are a plus.
