We are working with a leading international law firm to find a talented contentious construction lawyer to join their highly regarded Middle East Construction & Engineering team, part of one of the firm's largest and most significant practice divisions.
This team advises across the full project lifecycle, from contract negotiation and project delivery through to dispute resolution, for sponsors, funders, developers, employers, contractors, sub-contractors, and professional teams on major projects spanning energy and utilities, healthcare, transport infrastructure, and real estate across the GCC.
Typical duties for the role will include:Managing litigation and arbitration proceedings, including case strategy, drafting pleadings and submissions, attending hearings, and liaising with experts and witnesses. Drafting and reviewing a wide range of construction-related legal documentation. Conducting detailed legal research on construction law issues, both local and international. Working across a broad spread of sectors including Real Estate, Energy and Utilities, Industrials, Retail and Consumer, Transport, and Healthcare. Contributing to the team's market-leading risk management offering.
The successful candidate will have:At least 3 years' post-qualification experience in construction law Experience will be gained at a leading International or Regional firm, with a focus on contentious matters. Strong technical knowledge of construction law and the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice.
