Barza Consulting is partnering with a leading banking institution in the UAE to recruit an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager as part of their risk management team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional to lead and enhance the enterprise risk management framework, ensuring effective identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risks across the organization while supporting strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework across the organization. Identify, assess, monitor, and report enterprise-wide risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place. Facilitate risk assessments and workshops across business and support functions. Monitor the bank's risk profile, key risk indicators (KRIs), and emerging risks, providing timely insights to senior management. Ensure compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations and applicable risk management standards. Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, executive committees, and the Board Risk Committee. Collaborate with business, compliance, finance, audit, and operational teams to embed a strong risk culture throughout the organization. Support the development and review of risk policies, frameworks, and governance processes. Drive continuous improvements in risk management methodologies, reporting, and governance practices.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Accounting, or a related discipline. A master's degree is an advantage.10+ years of experience in enterprise risk management within the banking or financial services sector. Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks, risk governance, operational risk, strategic risk, and regulatory risk. Sound knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations and international risk management standards and best practices. Experience in developing risk frameworks, risk appetite statements, key risk indicators (KRIs), and Board-level risk reporting. Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, or CRM are highly desirable.
