Black Pearl is recruiting on behalf of a well-established healthcare provider in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Lead the assessment and management of infants, children and adolescents with benign and malignant hematological disorders within a multidisciplinary pediatric service. The successful physician will combine excellent clinical judgment with compassionate communication, multidisciplinary teamwork and a strong commitment to quality and patient safety.Key responsibilities·        Provide consultant-led inpatient, outpatient, emergency and on-call care for children with hematological conditions.·        Diagnose and manage hemoglobinopathies, cytopenias, bleeding and clotting disorders, bone-marrow failure syndromes and hematological malignancies within the approved scope.·        Interpret hematology, coagulation, transfusion and bone-marrow investigations and perform or supervise relevant procedures.·        Develop evidence-based treatment plans, including chemotherapy, transfusion and supportive-care pathways where privileged.·        Work closely with pediatric oncology, pathology, transfusion medicine, intensive care, pharmacy, nursing and allied health teams.·        Provide safe, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered consultant care in accordance with professional standards, hospital policies and approved clinical privileges.·        Supervise junior medical staff, support multidisciplinary decision-making and promote effective communication with patients and families.·        Participate in clinical governance, incident review, quality improvement, credentialing, continuing professional development and departmental education.·        Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with infection prevention, medication safety, privacy and regulatory requirements.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:Education and specialist qualifications·        Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD or equivalent), recognized Pediatrics specialty qualification, and an accredited Pediatric Hematology or Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship/board.·        The exact specialty and subspecialty award must be recognized under the current UAE Professional Qualification Requirements and support the requested Consultant title.·        Completion of internship and active, unrestricted professional registration/licensure in the current or most recent country of practice.Experience and licensing·        Consultant-level post-qualification experience meeting current DOH Abu Dhabi requirements; recent, substantial pediatric hematology practice is essential.·        Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Department of Health - Abu Dhabi Consultant licence for the applicable base specialty/title.·        Applicants must demonstrate recent clinical activity, competence within the advertised scope and no unresolved licensing, credentialing or professional-standing concerns.·        For Tier 1 vacancies, the exact Tier 1 award is mandatory. As a general screening guide, the Consultant route normally requires at least two years after the main specialty award or one year after a recognized subspecialty award, subject to DOH assessment.Role-specific requirements·        Fluent Arabic communication is required.·        Current BLS and PALS; chemotherapy and transfusion competencies/privileges as applicable.·        Evidence of recent marrow procedures, hemoglobinopathy management and pediatric oncology exposure.Professional capabilities·        Excellent diagnostic, procedural and clinical decision-making skills appropriate to Consultant practice.·        Strong communication and counseling skills with patients, families and multicultural clinical teams.·        Ability to supervise, teach and support physicians and other healthcare professionals.·        Com

Skills

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing (Master's preferred).

Minimum 10+ years of experience in the Oncology Department, including leadership roles.

Experience in commissioning oncology units and managing departmental operations.

Strong knowledge of oncology nursing practices, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.

Demonstrated experience in staff development, mentoring, and leading interdisciplinary teams.

Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives and quality improvement programs.
