About the job SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEER

Abu Dhabi


With occasional offshore visit as per requirements


150/30 (for single status) - single status accommodation provided


335/30 (for family status) - Family status is subject to the approval of Management after successful completion of probation period.


Abu Dhabi: 07:00 to 15:00 (5 days a week)


Offshore: 06:30 to 18:30 (7 days a week)


Round trip - Economy class provided as per company policy

Masters / Bachelors in Petroleum Engineering


12+ years' of extensive reservoir engineering experience in the oil and gas sector.


Conduct comprehensive reservoir engineering studies to evaluate reservoir performance, reserves, production potential, and recovery efficiency of oil and gas reservoirs.


Develop, maintain, and update dynamic reservoir simulation models to support reservoir management, production optimisation, and field development planning.


* Perform regular reservoir evaluations to estimate reservoir potential, optimise hydrocarbon recovery, and determine asset value.


* Carry out history matching and continuously update reservoir simulation models using production, pressure, and geological data to improve forecasting accuracy and model reliability.


* Analyse production performance and reservoir behaviour to identify opportunities for reservoir optimisation and enhanced recovery.


* Develop and recommend Field Development Plans (FDPs), including well placement strategies, infill drilling programmes, reservoir depletion plans, and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) initiatives.


* Contribute to the development of corporate strategies and plans related to production, field development, and exploration activities to achieve production targets and maximise asset value.


* Prepare production forecasts, reserve estimates, and development scenarios to support technical and commercial decision-making.


* Plan and oversee reservoir engineering studies and projects, ensuring execution within approved budgets, schedules, and company objectives. Contribute to the preparation and management of annual Reservoir Engineering budgets, ensuring effective utilisation of resources and compliance with budgetary requirements.


* Monitor financial performance against approved budgets, identify variances, implement corrective actions, and capitalise on cost optimisation opportunities. Prepare technical specifications, tender documentation, and scope of work for reservoir engineering studies and projects. Participate in the technical evaluation of bids and contractor selection processes to ensure the engagement of qualified and cost-effective service providers.


* Plan, coordinate, and monitor reservoir engineering contracts and consultancy services to ensure quality deliverables, operational efficiency, and contractual compliance.


Experience in carbonate reservoirs.


Experience in compositional model construction.
