We are looking for an experienced CAD Draftsman to join our team for a sewerage and infrastructure project in Al Ain, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining detailed engineering drawings related to sewerage networks, utility infrastructure, and associated civil works.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of AutoCAD, sewerage network drawings, as-built drawings, shop drawings, and utility coordination, preferably with UAE/GCC project experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed 2D CAD drawings for sewerage and utility infrastructure works.

  • Develop sewerage network drawings, including:

    • Sewer pipelines

    • Manholes

    • Chambers

    • Connections and laterals

    • Profiles and longitudinal sections

    • Typical details and cross-sections

  • Prepare shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings based on site requirements and approved engineering information.

  • Update drawings based on site measurements, engineer comments, and approved revisions.

  • Coordinate drawings with civil, structural, MEP, and other utility services.

  • Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, levels, coordinates, and consistency with project requirements.

  • Prepare drawing revisions and maintain proper drawing registers and document control.

  • Incorporate red-line/site-marked drawings into final as-built drawings.

  • Support engineers and site teams with technical drawings and CAD requirements.

  • Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and approved standards.

  • Coordinate with surveyors and site engineers regarding levels, coordinates, chainages, and existing utilities.

  • Maintain organized CAD files, references, blocks, layers, and drawing templates.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–7 years of experience as a CAD Draftsman, preferably in sewerage, drainage, utilities, or infrastructure projects.

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.

  • Good understanding of sewerage network drawings and infrastructure construction details.

  • Experience preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.

  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, specifications, plans, and site markups.

  • Knowledge of pipe profiles, invert levels, manholes, slopes, chainages, and utility crossings.

  • Experience working with consultants, contractors, engineers, and site teams.

  • UAE experience in infrastructure/utilities projects is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Civil 3D will be an advantage.

  • Good attention to detail and ability to work with tight project deadlines.

Education

  • Diploma / ITI / Technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.

  • Additional CAD/Civil 3D certification will be an advantage.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sewerage and underground utility projects, with the ability to independently produce accurate construction and as-built drawings from engineering information and site data.

Candidates with UAE/GCC experience in sewerage, drainage, wastewater, or infrastructure projects are preferred.
