Reporting directly to the CEO, the role plays a critical part in overseeing regulatory compliance, commercial agreements, and legal frameworks across multiple project phases. Operating within the power and utilities sector, the role requires deep familiarity with industry-specific contracts and regulatory structures within a complex infrastructure environment. Client Details A new entity backed by a well - established and highly successful organisation in Abu Dhabi, competing at an international scale. Description · Lead the legal and contractual strategy across all phases of the project, ensuring alignment with regulatory and commercial goals · Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements including PPA, O&M, LTSA, Fuel Supply, and EPC contracts · Manage correspondence and relationships with counterparties to protect legal and commercial interests · Oversee compliance with UAE regulatory requirements, including permits, certifications, and statutory registrations · Support corporate governance through preparation of board resolutions, shareholder documentation, and statutory filings · Coordinate with external legal counsel and advisors on specialized matters and dispute resolution · Collaborate with finance and technical teams to finalise settlement systems and ensure contractual obligations are met Job Offer · Attractive compensation package · Opportunity to work closely with leadership in an impactful role

· Minimum 15 years of legal experience, with at least 8 years focused on contract management in the power/utilities sector · Strong understanding of IWPP frameworks and key agreements such as PPA, EPC, O&M, LTSA, and Fuel Supply contracts · Demonstrated ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder environments and regulatory compliance in the UAE · Skilled in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing high-value commercial contracts with strategic impact · Fluent in English; fluency in Arabic would be advantageous
