Your Role and Responsibilities
This is a pivotal role responsible for identifying, defining and closing Lab Services Consulting engagements. This position works closely with clients, IBM sellers and business partners to
qualify and structure high value standard and customized offerings that accelerate adoption of Systems Group technologies.
Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of Systems (level 2 is preferable) technologies and products is required and experience working in Cloud, Analytics, Mobile and Social Computing are highly desirable.This position offers the successful candidate outstanding opportunities toutilize creativity and innovative thinking to develop business offerings that make a difference for IBM clients.
The successful candidate must be able to:
- Identify, qualify, size, scope, market and close Lab Services Consulting engagements
- Develop and articulate compelling value propositions focused on client value delivered by Lab Services offerings and capabilities
- Develop and manage opportunity pipeline and forecast including development of strategies to create and advance new opportunities as needed to meet business objectives
- Develop and deliver Statements of Work and Documents of Understanding, oversee services billings and track recoveries of services performed
- Collaborate across Lab Services and other IBM Services business units to develop and close engagements that maximize client value and generate Systems and IBM product and offering revenue
- Engage and support Lab Services delivery teams during the solution design phase in order to develop technically viable solutions that showcase IBM's expertise, Systems products and technologies and build client credibility for our solutions
- Ensure business conduct guidelines and fulfill the audit and process requirements during the business process

- Demonstrate high sense of ownership and sense of urgency to address business requirements
- Solid working knowledge of Systems product portfolio desirable
- Experience working with contracts and business partners desirable
- Previous first-hand client - based IT experience a strong differentiator
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor's Degree At least 5 years experience in Consultant and Solution Development
- At least 3 years experience in Sales
- Readiness to travel 25% travel annually
- English: Fluent
