Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified Primary School Governess to support the academic, moral, and
developmental growth of three children (ages 8, 5, & 1) within a respectful Emirati household.
The ideal candidate will be education-focused, structured, and capable of delivering high
academic standards while upholding the family’s cultural values, discipline expectations, and
emphasis on character development. This is a dedicated education role and not a general
nanny position.
Academic Support& Curriculum Enrichment:
Provide structured academic support aligned with primary school curriculum standards
Assist with homework, school assignments, and project preparation
Strengthen English language proficiency (spoken, reading, and written skills)
Introduce supplementary learning materials beyond the school curriculum
Character & Moral Development:
Instil discipline, respect, responsibility, empathy, and integrity
Reinforce values such as honesty, gratitude, kindness, and accountability
Structured Routine & Supervision:
Maintain organized daily schedules balancing academics, recreation, and rest
Encourage constructive screen-time habits and purposeful activities
Infant Care (One-Year-Old):
Responsible for assisting/supporting in the caretaking of the one-year-old child, including changing diapers, feeding, bathing, etc.
Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the infant’s overall development.
Parent Communication & Coordination:
Desired Candidate Profile
Proven experience as a Primary School Teacher, Governess, or Private Tutor
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Primary Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred)
Formal classroom teaching experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of primary-level curriculum frameworks
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Ability to create structured lesson plans and individualized learning strategies
Experience supporting children of multiple age groups
Strong moral character and professional conduct
Respects Islamic values, cultural norms, and household privacy
