Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an MEP Engineer and HVAC Contractor based in Musaffah. The role involves designing, reviewing, and coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems for building projects, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and checking technical drawings, load calculations, equipment selections, and material submittals, as well as supporting site installation, testing, and commissioning activities. The role requires coordinating with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues, manage interfaces between trades, and maintain project schedules. The MEP Engineer and HVAC Contractor will also monitor workmanship and safety on site, participate in inspections, prepare progress reports, and support cost control and variation claims where needed.
Qualifications

Strong knowledge and practical experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and Building Services design and execution. Hands-on experience in MEP Coordination, including clash detection, resolving technical conflicts between trades, and aligning drawings with site conditions. Proficiency in Plumbing and related building services, including pipe sizing, drainage, water supply, and compliance with relevant codes. Background in Electrical Engineering for building services, including power distribution, lighting, and integration with mechanical systems. Experience in HVAC system design and installation, including ducting, equipment selection, airflow balancing, and commissioning. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and standards, and to prepare shop drawings and as-built documentation. Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., Auto CAD or similar drafting tools; basic calculation and design software is an advantage). Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or a closely related discipline); equivalent technical qualifications with strong experience may be considered. Previous experience in MEP contracting, preferably in building or industrial projects in the region.
