Role Overview:
This is a key leadership role for a seasoned legal professional to steer the company's entire legal apparatus. The appointee will possess comprehensive knowledge of Dubai's construction, property, and regulatory frameworks. Success in this position demands a sharp focus on ensuring full legal conformity across the project and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise the executive team and board on critical legal and commercial decisions.
- Drive full compliance with UAE property legislation, RERA mandates, and construction-related statutes.
- Promote and embed robust corporate governance structures throughout the group.
- Draft, examine, and conclude diverse contractual arrangements.
- Pinpoint and address legal exposures tied to development initiatives and financing structures.
- Serve as the main liaison when required with authorities such as the Dubai Land Department and RERA.
- Direct all litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution efforts on behalf of the organisation.
- Uphold escrow account requirements to guarantee transparent handling of investor capital.
- Monitor legal and regulatory shifts that influence the property and construction landscape.
Skills
- Holds a recognised LLB or equivalent law degree; further certifications are desirable.
- 10 or more years of legal practice, including 3–5 years concentrated on Dubai's real estate and construction industry.
- Demonstrates a strong history of managing legal functions for a substantial property development enterprise.
- Shows advanced proficiency in construction law, property transactions, and regulatory oversight in Dubai.
- Possesses superior skills in contract negotiations, risk evaluation, and settling disputes.
