We're opening a brand new shisha café in Ajman and looking for an experienced Specialist Coffee Barista — someone skilled in both espresso-based drinks and manual brewing methods like V60, Chemex, and other pour-over techniques — to run our coffee station and deliver a consistently excellent coffee experience for our customers. This is a specialist role, central to the café's identity, and a great chance to build something from day one.

What You'll Do

• Prepare coffee, espresso-based drinks, and other hot beverages to a consistent, high standard

• Prepare specialty manual-brew coffee using methods such as V60, Chemex, and other pour-over techniques

• Adjust grind size, water temperature, and brew ratios correctly for each brewing method

• Operate and maintain the espresso machine and grinders correctly, including dialing in grind and extraction

• Follow recipes and portion standards for every drink

• Texture and pour milk to a professional standard, including latte art where applicable

• Recommend drinks and upsell based on customer preference, including guiding customers through specialty brew options

• Take and enter beverage orders accurately into the POS system

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all coffee equipment throughout the shift

• Track coffee beans, milk, syrups, and related stock, and report shortages

• Assist with opening/closing procedures for the coffee station

• Follow hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety procedures at all times

• Coordinate closely with waiters, kitchen, and management on orders and timing

• Support cashier duties when trained and requested

• Maintain professional, friendly interaction with customers

• Handle all equipment carefully and report any damage or malfunction

• Follow Company uniform and grooming standards

Who We're Looking For

• Genuinely experienced as a specialist coffee barista — please do not apply without hands-on experience

• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, extraction, and milk texturing

• Hands-on experience with manual brewing methods (V60, Chemex, pour-over, or similar) required

• Understands how grind size, water temperature, and ratios affect flavor across different brew methods

• Meticulous, consistent, and hygiene-focused

• Friendly, polite, presentable, and customer-focused

• Reliable, honest, hardworking, and a strong team player

• Able to work under pressure during busy shifts

• Fluent in Arabic and English

Requirements

• Must hold your own valid UAE visa (we are not sponsoring)

• Previous specialist barista experience required, including manual/specialty brewing (V60 or similar)

• Physically able to stand and work at the coffee station for extended periods

What We Offer

• Salary: AED 2,000–2,500/month
