Role Description The Senior Civil Engineer will work on-site in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, under a contract arrangement. This role is responsible for leading civil engineering design activities for infrastructure and development projects, including preparing detailed plans, drawings, and technical specifications. The Senior Civil Engineer will oversee project planning, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure that designs meet regulatory requirements, safety standards, and client expectations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site assessments, reviewing stormwater management solutions, monitoring construction progress, resolving technical issues, and providing guidance to junior engineers. The role also involves regular interaction with clients, contractors, and authorities to support approvals, optimize designs, and ensure timely project delivery. Qualifications Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills, with demonstrated experience delivering Villas projects from concept to detailed design. Experience working as part of teams of Civil Engineers, including mentoring junior staff and coordinating with other engineering disciplines. Strong Planning skills for project scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of design and construction activities. Expertise in Stormwater Management, including drainage design, flood risk assessment, and compliance with local regulations. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE) is an advantage. Proficiency with relevant engineering and design software (e.g., Auto CAD, Civil 3D, hydrology/hydraulic modeling tools). Knowledge of UAE building codes, infrastructure standards, and permitting processes, particularly within Abu Dhabi Emirate. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects. Previous experience in consultancy or client-facing roles and a track record of delivering projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
