We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef or Assistant Chef with a specialization in making Sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing authentic dishes to the highest standards. Your expertise in Japanese culinary techniques and flavours will be crucial in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Japanese cuisine, strong culinary skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

JLT / Business Bay / Jumeirah / Motor City


Salary Range:

20-40AED per hour

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and prepare a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, ramen, and other traditional Japanese cuisine.
  2. Ensure that all food is prepared and served by authentic culinary techniques.
  3. Develop and refine recipes to maintain consistency and quality.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  5. Monitor and manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed.
  6. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  7. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and standards.
  8. Assist in menu planning and costing.
  9. Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate new ideas into menu offerings.
  10. . Adhere to all health and safety regulations.


Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Chef or Assistant Chef but negotiable. Previous experience in Japanese cuisine is a plus.
  2. Must be living in UAE, preferably in Dubai.
  3. Strong knowledge and understanding of Japanese culinary techniques and flavours.
  4. Passion for Japanese cuisine and a commitment to delivering an authentic dining experience.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  6. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  7. Strong communication and leadership skills.
  8. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  9. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
