Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Menu Execution:

  • Accurately and promptly fulfilling customer orders.
  • Prepare and cook authentic Japanese dishes according to established recipes.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of all menu items.

2. Kitchen Management:

  • Supervise kitchen staff in daily operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.

3. Ingredient Handling:

  • Select, and handle fresh Japanese ingredients.
  • Manage inventory and control costs effectively.

4. Quality Assurance:

  • Uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct regular checks on food quality.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment. Work closely with the team to ensure smooth and efficient services.
  • Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff.
  • Communicate with management and service staff to fulfil and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees.


Skills

  • Two (2) years and above Chef working experience in a fine-dining/casual-dining setting. Previous working experience in Japanese restaurants is an advantage.
  • Passion for Japanese cuisine.
  • English-speaking, Good communication.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
