Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Menu Execution:
- Accurately and promptly fulfilling customer orders.
- Prepare and cook authentic Japanese dishes according to established recipes.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all menu items.
2. Kitchen Management:
- Supervise kitchen staff in daily operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
3. Ingredient Handling:
- Select, and handle fresh Japanese ingredients.
- Manage inventory and control costs effectively.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
- Conduct regular checks on food quality.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment. Work closely with the team to ensure smooth and efficient services.
- Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff.
- Communicate with management and service staff to fulfil and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees.
Skills
- Two (2) years and above Chef working experience in a fine-dining/casual-dining setting. Previous working experience in Japanese restaurants is an advantage.
- Passion for Japanese cuisine.
- English-speaking, Good communication.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
