Due to our expansion and growth, a career opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Director. About the role The Business Development Director will strategically grow the retail business by identifying new opportunities to promote sales performance. Develop and deepen new and existing relationships with suppliers and vendors to identify new opportunities. Understand market trends and competitor activity to maintain Sanipex competitive advantage. Identify and open new mono brand and multi-brand showroom locations in line with business growth objectives. You will partner with the Board and support the Group Retail Director in creating goals and objectives for the retail division. Ensuring it is commercially viable and in line with market needs and trends. Develop and manage strategic relationships with customers and suppliers. Anticipate and identify their needs and convert them into new business opportunities. Negotiate, prospect, and liaise with landlords on showroom locations for new showroom openings, extensions, and relocation. Devise strategies to capture the market share and profitability of the new showroom. Liaise with Marketing and merchandising teams for showroom designs and launches. Collaborate with the Marketing team, plan and host showroom openings and events to build goodwill with clients and increase brand awareness. Manage new showroom budgets, recruit, and train new showroom sales team in preparation for showroom opening. Serve as a cross-functional leader with focus on collaboration across different departments for Retail go-to-market initiatives and strategy. Direct marketing efforts by presenting retail customer-related data and suggesting marketing strategies to expand market reach. About You

  • Significant business development experience and proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Leadership experience at a senior level in the retail sector with the career ambition and capabilities to progress further.
  • Strategic thinking capability alongside excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels internally and externally.
  • Entrepreneurially minded, passionate and driven.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities under pressure and move at a fast pace.
  • Experience of the UAE market, plus the GCC is a major advantage.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and industry landscape.
  • Operational experience of multi-site showrooms is preferred.
