Job Description:

-Support portfolio of claims on behalf of the trading desk

-Q and Q claims to supplier and/or receivers, Q and Q claims from counterparty

-Investigate and collate facts and data gathered from Traders, Operators, Chartering contracts, Legal and Tax Advisors in order to fully assess each

individual claim

-Coordinate the negotiation of disputes

-Calculate, prepare and verify invoices in accordance with oil trading contracts, terms and conditions, and charter party terms

-Communicate with a variety of stakeholders- third-parties, Traders, Operators, Legal, Charterer, Brokers and other staff

-Challenge and suggest changes to workflows and procedures to ensure optimum efficiency is achieved in the handling of Q and Q, expense claims

and logistics, shipping and storage claims

-Upon resolution of dispute, issue and settle invoices through accounting systems by collaborating with Back Office/Invoicing Analyst

-Assign costs related to claims to appropriate benches to ensure Traders are aware of up-to-date profit and losses

-Arrange and track payments

-Produce monthly reports to ensure Operations Lead is aware of levels of Q and Q claims

-Provide detailed analytical assessments on a case-by-case basis of outstanding claims / costs to trading benches and trade control

-Provide analytical information and guidance to the traders, in order to reduce the risk of Q and Q exposure and optimize prevention to ultimately

maximise trading profits.

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelors or Masters in Marine Transportation or Maritime Law

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in marine logistics
• Industry knowledge- has a good understanding of the oil and shipping industry, key drivers and players as they relate to logistics, possesses a keen business sense, able to apply commercial understanding to support the customer's business. Prior roles including captain of vessel, oil inspector or shipping operator / management of shipping operations
