We are thrilled to share this fantastic opportunity for a high-calibre local graduate (graduated with a Masters or Bachelor’s degree in the last 12 months) to join our Hilton Supply Management (HSM) team in the Arabian Peninsula & MEA region on a 12-month internship.

From day one, our interns are fully integrated into Team Hilton and are involved in different aspects of the business. Our internships offer vast exposure and opportunities, such as the opportunity to network with senior executives and for some, international travel and involvement in regional conferences. 

Based in our Dubai Area Office, you will also benefit from an open space office, located in Internet City, close to the Dubai Marina and The Palm Jumeirah and other interesting locations in Dubai. We have approximately 210 team members based in the Dubai office, we are a social and fun bunch of people driving the business for the MEA region from here.
 
The Opportunity

As the HSM intern, you will experience all areas of the Arabian Peninsula/MEA Procurement and Customer Engagement function. This will include customer support, data management, system training and system delivery to our customers, procurement program management and cross-functional activities / meeting and events. 
 
MEA Procurement Support

  • Work with multiple data streams to evaluate supplier information and performance. 
  • Support management of e-Procurement systems.
  • Assist with onboarding new suppliers, including but not limited to, eProcurement systems, supplier orientation and meetings.
  • Support maintenance of property and supplier lists for internal and external applications.
  • Support tender activities, including but not limited to, building tender activities, maintaining the tender process and analysis of results.
  • Support tracking and reporting on Responsible Sourcing initiatives.

Customer Engagement Support

  • Support HSM communication processes.
  • Assist in creating monthly and quarterly business reviews for HSM key customers.
  • Assist with onboarding new HSM customers.
  • Research enquiries on product availability, pricing, specifications, product usage and recommendations as requested.

Data Management

  • Gather appropriate data or information from all relevant sources.
  • Ensure all enquiries within specific areas of responsibility are responded to promptly with satisfactory resolution.
  • Maintain departmental systems for filing and procedural documentation including contracts management across all client bases.
  • Work with multiple data streams to evaluate procurement data.

Administrative & Support Activities

  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate with team members providing relevant business information.
  • Collaborate and provide project and general admin support to the HSM team.
  • Produce ad-hoc presentations.
  • Ensure hotel, supplier and cross functional department enquiries are directed to the right location within HSM.
  • Attend departmental meetings pertinent to work assignments.
  • Assist with scheduling of meetings, bookings and conference calls including preparation of associated support materials.

What are we looking for?

 As with any job, we do have certain criteria that you will need to meet to be considered for one of these highly sought-after opportunities. These are detailed as follows;  

  • First and foremost, Hilton is a hospitality company and we are looking for individuals with a strong sense of alignment to our culture and values. 
  • You must have graduated with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in the last 12 months. 
  • You must be able to undertake a full-time (40 hours per week) 12-month graduate internship, from July 2024. 
  • Hospitality or Business Management related degree is preferred; however, we will consider applicants from other disciplines provided you are able to demonstrate a strong desire to progress a career in this area.
  • We are looking for a candidate who is local to the UAE and will not require a visa to work full-time in Dubai.
  • Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to foster positive relationships quickly.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet targets and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Highly numerate and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel with the ability to quickly learn new programs as required. These include eProcurement and CRM tools.
