We are looking for a high-calibre local graduate (graduated with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in the last 12 months) to join our Engineering team on a 12-month internship. From day one, our interns are fully integrated into Team Hilton and are involved in different aspects of the business. Our internships offer vast exposure and opportunities, such as the opportunity to network with senior executives, and for some, international travel and involvement in regional conferences. 
 
Based in our Dubai Area Office, you will also benefit from an open space office, located in Internet City, close to the Dubai Marina and The Palm Jumeirah and other interesting locations in Dubai. We have approximately 210 team members based in the Dubai office, we are a social and fun bunch of people driving the business for the MEA region from here.

The Opportunity
 
Working in Hilton’s Regional office for Middle East and Africa will give the successful candidate valuable exposure about Engineering Operations core activities such as asset maintenance & management, sustainability, CAPEX planning & execution and maintenance & energy efficiencies. 
As a graduate intern, you will be an integral part of the team and will play an active role in continued success. The intern will be assigned a mentor to offer their knowledge and experience towards their advancement, and to help bridge any skill gaps. 

The intern will carry out a range of administrative and support activities, as well as having ownership of their own project-based initiatives. 

Below are some of the tasks and responsibilities:

  • Using online tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources. 
  • Performing analysis to assess quality and meaning of data. 
  • Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify areas of risk and opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue innovative project(s) to advance the Engineering Operations Strategy/Charter.
  • Provide support as necessary to the regional engineering specialist in relevant projects and initiatives.
  • Helping to create executive presentations for regional meetings, regional stakeholders, and on-going projects.  
  • Preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
  • Joining Regional Engineering Operations meetings as and when required.
  • Attending meetings in hotels to help drive strategy and/or projects as and when required.

Competitive Salary & Benefits: 60,000 AED PA, housing allowance 48,000 AED PA & transport allowance 6000 AED PA.

What are we looking for?

As with any job, we do have certain criteria that you will need to meet to be considered for one of these highly sought-after opportunities. These are detailed as follows; 

  • First and foremost, Hilton is a hospitality company, and we are looking for individuals with a strong sense of alignment to our culture and values. 
  • You must have graduated with bachelor’s degree in either Electrical, Mechanical and any related engineering field in the last 12 months. 
  • You must be able to undertake a full-time (40 hours per week) 12-month graduate internship, from July 2024. 
  • We are looking for a candidate who is local to the UAE and will not require a visa to work full-time in Dubai. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resources to achieve outstanding results. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations. 
  • Excellent time management, organisational, coordination and communication (verbal and written) skills. 
  • Team-working skills and problem-solving skills along with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Person should be engaging and a self-starter. 
  • Microsoft Office skills is a must i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Power BI.
