Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, following established recipes and presentation techniques.
  2. Ensure all food preparation meets hygiene and safety standards, including proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients.
  3. Collaborate with the Head Chef and other team members to develop new menu items and specials, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain sufficient stock of ingredients.
  5. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen safety procedures.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to sanitation and cleaning standards at all times.
  7. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control.
  8. Assist with special events and catering functions as needed, ensuring timely and efficient food preparation and service.
  9. Stay current with industry trends and developments, continually seeking opportunities to improve culinary skills and knowledge.
  10. Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.


Skills

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Chef Cook or line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  2. Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary terminology.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with kitchen staff and other team members.
  5. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
  6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  7. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, with a commitment to upholding hygiene standards.
