Reservoir Engineer Specialist

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Across functional teams, lead all parties to work out annual surveillance programs including flow testing, fluid sampling, well testing (PBU/PFO/interference), downhole pressure measurements both dynamic and static, tracer surveys, and cased hole logging.
  • Supervise and lead collecting all required field data, performing QA/QC of the data including production allocation to individual wells and store them safely in the company’s database.
  • Carry out analysis of the surveillance data in order to define well and reservoir parameters such as reservoir permeability, reservoir pressure, formation damage, well productivity and injectivity index.
  • Integrate dynamic and static data by utilizing reservoir management applications such as OFM, Petrel or others to monitor fluid front movement, to generate reservoir isobaric, saturation and productivity index maps, to set up VRR target in order to optimize and maximize reservoir recovery, and identify any anomalous well performance.
  • Perform short and mid-term well and reservoir production forecasts according to company’s guidelines including defining maxim, technical, available and sustainable rates using analytical methods such as decline curve analysis, vertical lift analysis, material balance, streamline analysis or any other available engineering application.
  • Perform regular reservoir performance analysis including reports and presentations at levels of asset, reservoir, sector and well. Organize regular surveillance meetings (daily, monthly, etc.) to share performance analysis findings, propose remedial actions for performance issues, and follow up implementation of action plans.
  • Supervise and lead well testing and production logging program implementations including design, interpretations and finding implementations.
  • Supervise and lead simulation and laboratory studies including PVT, SCAL, IOR/EOR by writing scope of work, collecting data, following up implementation, performing results QA/QC, and field implementation.
  • Supervise and lead constructing, history matching and updating numerical reservoir simulation models (black-oil, compositional, etc.) with appropriate quality control. Also, generating single-well, element and/or sector models by extracting some areas/cross sections from the full field models for fit-for-purpose investigation.
