The Bread Maker will be responsible for preparing dough, shaping bread, baking, and ensuring the consistent quality of our bread offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bread-making techniques, a meticulous attention to detail, and a dedication to producing delicious, fresh bread for our customers.


**Responsibilities:**

1. Prepare dough by mixing ingredients according to established recipes and formulas.

2. Monitor fermentation processes to ensure optimal rise and flavor development.

3. Shape dough into various forms such as loaves, rolls, and specialty breads.

4. Operate baking equipment including ovens, mixers, and proofing cabinets.

5. Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve desired crust and crumb texture.

6. Implement quality control measures to ensure consistency and excellence in bread production.

7. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery area, including equipment and work surfaces.

8. Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed.

9. Collaborate with team members to develop new bread recipes and variations.

10. Stay informed about current trends and innovations in bread-making techniques and ingredients.


**Requirements:**

1. Proven experience as a Bread Maker or Baker in a professional kitchen or bakery setting.

2. In-depth knowledge of bread-making techniques, including mixing, fermentation, shaping, and baking.

3. Ability to follow recipes and formulas accurately, while also possessing creativity to develop new bread recipes.

4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

5. Physical stamina and dexterity to knead and shape dough for extended periods.

6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.

8. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.

9. Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.


**Preferred Qualifications:**

1. Formal culinary or baking education from a recognized institution.

2. Experience working with sourdough and other artisanal bread-making methods.

3. Familiarity with different types of flour and grains, and their effects on bread texture and flavor.

4. Prior experience in a high-volume bakery or production environment.
