Overview of the role

Under the general supervision of the Kitchen Manager, responsible for running multiple sections in the kitchen, managing a team of workers responsible for keeping the section organized so that meals go out on time and as planned, and the work area remains clean and orderly.

 

What you will do

Steering the business

  • Work actively to make the IKEA store successful and high performing, today and tomorrow by attracting visitors, achieving sales growth and reasonable profitability, ensuring the satisfaction of guests and coworkers, and excellent operational performance as measured through our defined Key Performance
  • Indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate with IKEA IFB Admin for invoice postings
  • Ability to read and analyze KPI’s & P&L
  • Ensure the implementation and follow-up of the SOP rules and guidelines.

 

Operational

  • Contribute to all warehouse/store operations activities including ordering and receiving, deliveries, coordinating stock, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining records, and overseeing storage of surplus inventory.
  • You and your department are responsible for the planning, execution and follow-up of the store’s commercial calendars in close cooperation with all IFB seniors and IFB manager.
  • Receive goods from Goods receiving area and moving these goods to storage locations.
  • Secure that the stock figures are correct and according to the stock movement on the system operated (PAR Level & Stock Aging from Navision)
  • Prevent all damages to goods by securing proper handling in place.
  • Adhere to inventory control procedure
  • Ensure ordering and receiving procedures is done according to the IKEA FOOD requirements.
  • Responsible for developing and purchasing food products and ensuring the complete range follows legislative (list relevant legislations applicable by country) and IKEA FOOD requirements in the areas of Quality and Environment.
  • Responsible for the development of a strong and vital national/local range for restaurants, cafés, and bistros by guaranteeing an optimal relation between quality and price that is in accordance with the IKEA FOOD strategy, food trends and the profile of our customers
  • Ensure that the monthly IFB stock take is implemented according to set guidelines
  • Prepares monthly discrepancy report and initiate control measures and follow-up
  • Be prepared to work out quick solutions in case of overstock and/or shortage of products.
  • Establish and maintain a partnership with suppliers.
  • Recognize and build key relationships with matrix partners and ensure an effective and efficient communication flow within your functional area with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Process and document supplier’s requisitions in the NAVISON system.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the IFB supplies and storages
  • Ensure day-to-day functions of storekeepers are carried out in the department
  • Receive important documents, mail and ordered supplies.
  • Undertake Senior responsibilities as the IFB operation required


Skills

  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking on a consistent basis.

  • Must have the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and constantly changing retail environment
  • Must have analytical skills
  • Must have multitasking capabilities
  • Must be computer literate

 

What equips you for the role

  • 3-4 years of successful Food purchasing experience from food trading, food retailing or hotel and restaurant                                         
  • Experience preferably in a high-volume business
