Ambitek are a supplier of temporary labour to a range of industries in the UAE.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of cost estimation and financial management for construction projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting cost estimates and preparing tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost reports.
- Analyzing project specifications and drawings to determine material quantities, labor costs, and other project expenses.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing information and quotes.
- Evaluating and comparing subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitoring project costs and expenditures throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets and timelines.
- Identifying and mitigating potential cost risks and deviations from project plans.
- Reviewing and negotiating change orders, variations, and claims with project stakeholders.
- Providing regular updates and reports on project costs, budget variances, and financial forecasts.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to quantity surveying and cost management.
Salary | Industry Average, depending on location of work as some locations pay more than others

Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in a construction or consulting firm.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools, such as CostX or BuildSoft.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
