Merchandising Specialist | DG Beauty

Dolce&Gabbana, a leader in the world of luxury fashion, for its new in-house Beauty Division has an exceptional career opportunity available for a Merchandising Specialist based in Dubai . ROLE PURPOSE Define and execute VM / TM strategies in accordance with brand guidelines to ensure meeting set objectives in brand positioning and sales. PROFILE The ideal candidate is a highly motivate and passionate person, with previous experience in visual merchandising preferably in the same sector. The Beauty Merchandiser will support the team in all the visual merchandising activities for DG beauty in order to ensure products, graphics and displays are visually appealing to attract and engage shoppers. KEY RESPONSABILITIES Reporting to the Regional Brand Manager he/she will be responsible for: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Set up the permanent and temporary visibility according to the HQ guidelines in order to drive the markets of the region through the best execution.
  • Development and execution of all the in-store temporary activations in strict collaboration with Trade marketing, Commercial and retail excellence departments.
  • Close follow-up of projects progress to ensure a coherent in-store image providing an accurate and on-time project execution.
  • Development and execution of the permanent visibility: follow the design and implementation of brand-personalized spaces (counters, shop in shop, backwalls) in full compliance to the guidelines and to the estimated budget.
  • Work in strict collaboration with the distributors and subsidiaries, helping them to provide the best visibility in-store.
  • Operational support on the development and implementation of corporate POS materials, permanent and temporary activations, visual update.
  • Analysis and monitoring of the in-store KPIs ( share of space, environment, image)
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
  • Strategy: Ensure VM / TM activations in the market are implemented in line with brand guidelines
  • Product Launches: oversee local VM /TM support for launches.
  • Budget Management: Manage and control the VM /TM budget to ensure the company gets the best return on investment
  • Plans & Forecast: Provide FOC forecast per launch, VM planning & ordering of the materials
  • Communication internal and external
  • Communication with retailers for VM / TM activations.
  • Internal communication with HQ EMEA to ensure appropriate implementation of brand guidelines in VM & TM.
  • Leadership & Organization: Identifying opportunities for improvement of the organization and initiate adequate measures in conjunction with Brand Manager.
VISUAL MERCHANDISING & STORE DESIGN
  • Implementation of visual guidelines in stores, including planning of VM materials. New counters: support in negotiations with retailers for space & location, coordination with Region and retailers on design, production and installation.
  • VM order or production, distribution and installation for every launch.
  • Reporting
  • Creation & implementation of planograms for each launch, control of execution.
  • Control of all equipment’s technical condition and reparations.
TM
  • Forecasting and distribution of promotional material for each for every launch and monthly support: Art of sampling, Art of gifting, testers, packages, etc. Support of instore CRM programs.
  • FOC distribution and control.
  • Planning & support of instore activities from Retailers’ side (clients’ days, beauty cabins, etc)
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • At least 3 years’ experience in VM and TM, preferably in luxury cosmetics within a recognised brand orientated company
  • Entrepreneurial personality and original thinker with initiative and a driving spirit
  • Innovative problem solver
  • Self-disciplined and target oriented personality who is detail oriented and accurate
  • Time management skills to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in MS-Office applications
  • Fluency in English
  • Good knowledge of SketchUp – Photoshop
  • Knowledge on InDesign will be considered a plus
