Purchase Manager

  1. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with the hotel's objectives, focusing on optimizing cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
  2. Supplier Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable terms and pricing for goods and services.
  3. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and ensure adequate supplies are maintained to meet operational requirements while minimizing excess inventory.
  4. Quality Control: Uphold strict quality standards by conducting regular inspections of received goods and ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
  5. Budget Management: Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage procurement budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  6. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize performance and foster a culture of excellence.
  7. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and maximize productivity.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures, related to procurement activities.


Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Knowledge of local suppliers and market trends in Dubai is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as Arabic is a plus.
