Job Title: Tax Manager
Job Location: Dubai
Job Responsibilities
- Advise clients with local and global Tax issues, including advising on the operation of Tax, transaction analysis, supply chain, business expansion
- Maximize efficiencies in working and reporting systems to reduce the Tax liabilities where possible with international business operations and within the legislative framework
- Review existing contracts, accounting systems and procedures to advise SME clients on Tax implications and inclusions
- Advise and assist clients with Tax compliance, audit, and litigation matters.
- Review tax regulations and create processes, flowcharts, standards templates for providing the Tax services
- Lead, manage and responsible for Leads management (including group processes), pricing and cross-sell of services across the group
- Proactively lead and assist in the management of a portfolio of clients including developing new and existing relationships
- Spearhead the firm’s expansion of business network for tax related as well as cross-selling firm’s services
- Assist HOD to manage including mentoring, training, hiring and supervising teams
- Represent company at key conferences and events for the tax practice and the company as a whole
- Build relationships with government agencies and keep abreast of changes in local laws related to Tax
- Proactively contribute to Rethink’s publications such as articles, factsheets, podcasts.
- Project manage and responsible for all ESR Initiatives
- Audit internal controls for accuracy of tax compliance
Skills
· Professionally qualified with ideally either ACA, ACCA, CTA or holding an equivalent qualification.
· 5-8 years of experience in handling Tax Matters.
· Technical expertise and practical experience in corporate taxation and international tax is added advantage.
· Accounting skills and knowledge of software such as Xero, Zoho, Quick Books, preferred.
· Strong investigational, technical, analytical, ethics and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change and execute in timely fashion.
· Extraordinary attention to details
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills to work and build rapport with people and clients of different background and cultural competency
· Strong commercial orientation, with proven ability to assess a diverse range of financial service businesses and provide pro-active solutions.
· Strong project management skills &/or training
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
