Treasury Specialist (Contract Assignment)

Charterhouse are undertaking a live search, to source a Treasury Specialist, for a client within the commodities and supply chain sector.

About the role
This role, with a reporting Line to a Head of Treasury, shall take overall responsibility for the cash flow management and controllership across the organisation. This role shall link to the oversight of all accounts whilst having direct management of payment processing and the recording of all invoicing across the ERP platform.

In addition, this role will also focus towards credit lines, financing activities and any trade finance (import & export letters of credit) within the system and shall be combined with the daily reporting, within the financial control framework, of cash flow budgets, liquidity ratios and any management commentaries.

The Treasury Specialist role is also geared towards the support of accounting controls and governance whilst also being focused upon compliance reporting (KYC-based) to manage any audit and checking processes. This is also linked to source of funds, along with payment controls, in support of commercial teams through documentation, bills of lading and any contractual obligations.

About you
Our client is looking to recruit a professionally qualified Treasury Accountant with either a Chartered Accountancy (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) or MBA background; coupled with a demonstrable track record within a cash management, financial operations and accounting control environment. In conjunction, the client will look for exposure to a commodity trading organisation along with a knowledge of supply chain and/or shipping activities within a financial context.

The Treasury Specialist shall also be expected to be a subject matter expert within international treasury concepts, products and services whilst also having a knowledge-base and gravitas to manage banking relationships to achieve optimal financing arrangements. Finally, and of equal importance, the successful candidate will also require an ability to manage senior stakeholders across risk management, front office sales & trading and CFO office. In turn, key communication and reporting skills shall be assessed within the selection process.

As standard across most financial reporting roles, strong Excel and ERP systems skills shall be required, to ensure strong analytical capabilities and data management. Due to the contract/interim nature of the role, the client will look for a candidate whom is immediately available in the market.
