The SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics Unit) team, as the name implies, should be the A1 team in the different areas of the product. The team is the direct layer after the customer support layer.Different areas of the product include, but are not limited to, ETL, Zookeeper, Spark, cloud services (Azure, GCP, and AWS), dealing with parquet files, dealing with internal and external BI visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc. The role responsibilities are mainly as follows:YOU WILL
- Help to identify the root cause of the customer issues (offline by checking the reported logs and other user-provided resources).
- Attend customer meetings to troubleshoot the issues with the customer (online) if needed.
- Resolve code issues sometimes; other times, delegate the identified bugs to the code owner team.
- Devise new tools that increase the supportability of the product.
- Develop new features, given that this doesn’t contradict the aforementioned responsibilities.
- Note: The working hours as well as the holidays will follow the US timezone (Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM, until 12:00 AM).
YOU HAVE
- BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
- Fresh Grads are welcome to apply.
- Ability to develop software in Java
- Experience designing interactive applications and knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
- Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
- Experience with test-driven development.
- Proficiency in software engineering tools.
- Ability to document requirements and specifications
